Football superstar Tom Brady has announced his retirement one more time. Only this time, it appears he’s retiring for good. Coincidentally, on this same day last year, Brady announced that he would be leaving football for good. However, soon later, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one final epic season. In the end, things did not pan out too well for the team, as they didn’t go any further than the first round after qualifying for the playoffs. Bitter goodbyes followed as Brady took to his social media handles to announce his final retirement from the sport.

In Brady’s Words

Brady recently went online to his social media and dropped this heartfelt message to his fans and colleagues:

“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” he said.

“You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used my note last year so really, thank you guys so much, to every single one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors — I could go on forever; there’s too many. Thank you, guys, for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing.”

“I’m retiring, for good.” He said, making his message crystal clear for everyone to know and understands. Of course, final goodbyes hurt, but this does not mean we will stop seeing more from Brady. His career in entertainment has just begun with his production house called Religion of Sports. He is the co-owner of the company, which focuses on creating sports-related media. He is also the star of the film 80 for Brady, where he plays himself. 

Brady And The NFL

Brady’s relationship with sports and the NFL isn’t over either. Brady signed a deal with Fox Sports in which he is allowed to come back as a member of the broadcast team whenever he decides to take a permanent break from playing on the field. So fans certainly have a chance at seeing him in the booth next season. Fox’s CEO, Lachlan Murdock, also confirmed that Tom Brady would continue to serve as an ambassador for Fox sports. So, in spite of his exit from actually playing, Brady’s future looks pretty stable, with multiple opportunities knocking on his door, but there is more that lies underneath all the good news.

Bankruptcy And Divorce

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are getting a divorce. The news of their separation broke out last year when the announcement was made. This has to have had a terrible toll on Brady’s mindset and mental health. To make things worse, Brady is likely facing bankruptcy for being a paid spokesperson for FTX. A cryptocurrency exchange that has gone bankrupt and taken Brady down with it into the flames. Hopefully, the coming year is kinder to the NFL legend than the last one has been.

Fans will always have a soft spot for Tom Brady. Even though he is quitting football for good, he is not actually exiting the sports industry. If anything, he’s only trying harder to contribute to it in more ways than one. With his production house investments, he is attempting to raise the image of his career and football as a whole through the media. He is also all set up to return in non-playing capacities to NFL itself, which is more than likely to occur. The legend will always be remembered for giving America great games and greater memories. Later on, it was also announced that Saudi Arabia would be giving an exemption to Ronaldo to let him live with his partner Georgina Rodriguez in a temporary place before they find a permanent home. Otherwise, Saudi has a law that disallows couples to live together if they’re unmarried. Soon after the signing of Ronaldo by Al Nassr, Ronaldo posted a picture on his social media handle with his private jet, all set to fly him to his new home team in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo was spotted wearing a stunning bright green wristwatch from Jacob and Co. The company has worked with Ronaldo for over a decade and a half. He was given this new watch which is priced at $780,000, which is something only those in Ronaldo’s league could afford. 

The watch is made out of gold and 388 baguette-cut tsavorites, stones that are a lot rare than even emeralds. The color of the watch is a deep bright green to represent the flag of Saudi Arabia that Ronaldo has become a part of.

Jacob and Co., have made watches for Ronaldo for a long time. They created a unique timepiece for him following his win against Manchester United in 2013. They also created a Bugatti Chiron-themed watch for him. The two are as inseparable as Ronaldo and soccer itself. Everyone knows the phenom that is Novak Djokovic. The tennis mastermind has had an interesting approach towards playing through pain. Hamstring injuries are common place for athletes, and most would prefer to let their legs rest and recover after a major injury but not Djokovic. He insists that playing further will boost his performance instead of taking a well earned break from the court. However, things got ugly the last time he faced Enzo Couacaud about a week ago when he had to take multiple breaks for a medical assistant to look after his injured leg.

Treating The Injury

Djokovic still remains adamant about not taking a break, especially not during the Australian Open. Recently, he admitted that he’s working with every machine possible to keep his hamstring functional and help his leg recover. He mentioned in an interview that he’s been spending more time with these machines than with his family. This also includes biofeedback machines that attempt to help him cope with the injury.

He had ended up extending his hamstrings over the healthy limit in Adelaide a few days ago this month. This is what led to the disastrous events that followed, including him playing with his thigh wrapped up for protection. Somehow, Djokovic managed to play and beat world-class players at Melbourne Park during this Australian Open. 

Recent Opponents

Recently Djokovic faced Andrey Rublev in the Australian Open with an impressive 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 scoreline. It almost seemed one-sided on his part. But the wins weren’t nearly as effortless as they may seem to an observer. Djokovic really struggled with his injured leg while trying to outperform his opponent. Later while speaking to reporters, Djokovic said:

“I’ve been fortunate to really live through a lot of success in Australian Open. But [in the] last two matches, playing against two guys that are really good players, in-form players, to beat them dominantly in three sets is something that sends a message to all my opponents remaining in the draw.”

In Conclusion

Novak Djokovic is a brilliant and clearly persistent player who doesn’t seem to have any intention of giving up. He remains within facilities, so he can be helped by any biofeedback machine that is available to him. Some people believe that it would be a far better option for him to simply take a short break and allow his hamstring to recover. However, whether Novak will take this route to fix his injury or just play through all the pain and discomfort will remain elusive until the end of the Australian Open. As of right now, the 35-year-old continues his undefeated streak of 39 match wins.
