House of The Dragon is an amazing prequel to the fan-favorite series Game of Thrones. The show has already aired its very first season, and fans can’t stop talking about the show. It features the world as we knew it after the Targaryen conquest that unites all the kingdoms, but as usual, there’s more than meets the eye. We don’t see characters from Game of Thrones because of the time-bound nature of the series, but the creators have managed to maintain the themes and nature of the story perfectly. No wonder all the fans are still interested. Now, co-creator Ryan Condal has promised big things for season 2.

More Dragons

The upcoming season is going to start filming very soon, promised Condal at a screening in Los Angeles. He was then joined by none other than George R.R. Martin, who wrote the original series called A Song of Ice and Fire.  He was also joined by eight of the cast members. The whole group was present for the screenings of the eighth episode of the first season, and Josh Gad was the moderator of the Q&A session that followed. Being the humorous person that he is, Gad remarked:

“If you’re wondering what I’m doing here, I’m asking myself the same question.”

R.R. Martin also talked about the series and how he’s a fan of the writers employed by Condal on the show:

“This is a favorite of mine. Of course, I’m hardly objective,” said Martin as they announced the eighth episode. “I thought it was really powerful. This guy [Condal] has an amazing writing staff. Because if you read my book Fire & Blood, which you should, it’s a fake history. So there are a lot of the details that are in this that are absolutely wonderful and moving that are not in the book. They added stuff, and they added good stuff, which is important.”

In the meanwhile, co-creator Condal also promised the fans that they would be meeting five new dragons in the upcoming season of the hit HBO show.

“You’re going to meet five new dragons,” he said at the screening.
